Job Description
Required Experience:
8+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or observability architecture.
Proven experience designing and leading enterprise observability solutions.
Hands-on expertise with Datadog, including dashboards, alerts, and integrations.
Experience with Datadog Data Observability (Metaplane), including lineage and data freshness monitoring.
Strong understanding of modern data platforms, pipelines, and analytics architectures.
Experience leading technical workshops and working directly with senior stakeholders.

Technical Skills:
Datadog (Core Monitoring, Data Jobs Monitoring, OpenTelemetry)
Datadog Data Observability / Metaplane
Azure data ecosystem (ADF, Databricks, ADLS, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB)
Snowflake and relational databases
BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Data pipelines, orchestration, and data reliability patterns
Alerting, incident management, and operational design

Soft Skills:
Strong communication and storytelling skills with technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to act as a trusted technical advisor
Structured problem solver with a systems-thinking mindset
Comfortable leading without direct authority
Detail-oriented with a focus on business outcomes

Nice to Have:
Experience in financial services, insurance, or regulated environments
Prior experience with large-scale data observability rollouts
Familiarity with lineage-driven impact analysis and incident workflows
